The Nose Job Cost How much ?!?$¥£€
What is a rhinoplasty?
A nose job or a rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which the shape of the nose is changed. This can include changes to help a patient breathe better, make the nose straighter, smaller, bigger, or simply more contoured. This can be done for aesthetic reasons, for functional breathing purposes, or both. One of the most commonly searched topics is nose job cost. In general, this is an expensive investment so while finding a surgeon and communicating your goals is important, varying costs can make the decision process even more complex.

What is the price range for A Nose Job?
The price range of rhinoplasty varies greatly by surgeon, expertise, experience, location, and type of surgery. In general, revision rhinoplasty will be more expensive than a first-time rhinoplasty due to the complexity and difficulty of surgery.
In 2022, the average price of rhinoplasty is $7,700, but it can range from $2500 to >$20,000. At my office, the cost, including anesthesia and facility fee, starts at $12,500. In 2021, Realself listed the average cost as $7,500 so there has been a slight increase.
What makes up the Nose Job Cost?
Rhinoplasty is a procedure that should be performed under general anesthesia and in an accredited operating room. Your total price should include the surgeon’s fees, the operating room or facility fees, and the anesthesiologist’s fees. For the most part, you do not have control over the latter two.
In surgeries that are revision surgeries, there may be additional costs for ancillary procedures and materials such as rib cartilage harvest, cadaveric rib, and extra time in the operating room for a likely more difficult dissection.
How can I use insurance to help pay for my rhinoplasty?

Because rhinoplasty can be performed for functional reasons, many insurances will cover the cost of functional rhinoplasty. In order to establish insurance coverage, one must prove a difficulty in breathing through the nose. This would include a combination of a trial of nasal steroid medication, an intranasal exam, a CT scan, and photo documentation. Once an insurance company approves this, the portion of the procedure that is functional can be covered by the insurance company and any subsequent portion that is cosmetic would be the responsibility of the patient. Typically, this can particularly help offset the costs of the facility and anesthesia fees which include the extra time of going to sleep, waking up, and the post-operative recovery.
How can I get a discount?

As mentioned above, getting insurance to help pay for the surgery is the best alternative; however, not all cosmetic surgeons accept insurance. Another option that people often seek is getting the surgery done overseas. While there are some surgeries that can safely be performed at a discount overseas, the ability to follow-up with your surgeon is of particularly critical importance in rhinoplasty therefore, for the most part, it would not be recommended.
While the surgery can be expensive to pay all at once, many surgeons offer third-party financing options. Finally, it never hurts to explain your financial situation and ask for a discount from the standard pricing and hope that you might be able to get a break.
What about a non-surgical nose job?
Liquid rhinoplasty is a procedure in which a hyaluronic acid filler is injected into the nose to help change the shape. The good news is this can safely be done for under $1000. The bad news is that not everyone is a candidate AND that the filler does not last forever.
Generally speaking, the best candidates are those with a smaller hump that can be disguised by adding some filler above and below the hump.
BOTTOM LINE
All in all, it would be advised to seek out multiple consultations, not just for price but also to get a variety of opinions. In general, just because you pay more does not guarantee a better result.
