As the practice has grown, buccal fat removal has become one of the most popular procedures that I perform. Even though it has been around for decades, recent cultural trends have brought the simple procedure into the limelight. I developed a combination of procedures that includes buccal fat removal that can get impressive results.
What is Sagar Sculpting?
I perform a special modification of the procedure on particular patients that has been a unique addition and has brought insane demand to our office: SAGAR SCULPTING.
What I do is take the fat that was removed from the buccal fat pad (right below your cheek bone) and break it down into a near liquid consistency using a specialized microfilter. This fat is then injected into the upper lateral cheekbone to give you an amazing contoured cheekbones. This is also combined with jawline liposuction to get the full Sagar Sculpting result.
Who is a good candidate?
If you have a moderate amount of buccal fat and flat lateral cheek bones you are a candidate. The elevation of the cheekbones creates support for the skin and allows extra tenting to give you a more contoured look.
How much does Sagar Sculpting Cost?
The main idea behind the procedure is that even though you can do fat grafting at a later date, or get fillers down the line, if we take your buccal fat out it is already there. Every other surgeon just throws the fat away. Given that, we charge just $1500 extra for the fat grafting. This is a huge savings when you consider how long it lasts and compare the cost savings to fillers.
Are there Downsides?
When grafted fat comes out of the mouth it is considered contaminated, so technically, it should not be injected into the face. I have formulated a specialized protocol to prevent infection and obtain what I consider sterile fat. Fat also slowly melts the first few days so it has to be “over injected” for the final result to be perfect so for the first few days the site is very swollen.
