Is weight loss or lipo easier?

Weight loss or lipo is a common question we ask on our body improvement journeys. Both options have their pros and cons. Liposuction is the removal of fat manually while weight loss would be the burning of fat for caloric consumption by your body.
Weight loss, as much as we hope for it to be, is never targeted. An abdominal workout does not target belly fat but rather strengthens the abdominal muscles. Liposuction, on the other hand, is by definition targeted fat reduction. If you can lose weight to achieve the overall goals you are looking for: LOSE WEIGHT. That being said, everyone has a different metabolism and goal. In addition, others have a weight that they are happy at but specifically, want one area to have less fat (the neck for example) while not losing fat in another area (the butt for example). In both these cases, liposuction is a terrific option. While it is difficult to say which is easier, this article discusses the anticipated recovery.
Is Weight Lost During Lipo?
In general, with neck lipo, the short answer is no. Weigh loss lipo is not a thing! In the United States, body lipo is limited to how much fat can be removed and for most, you will not see a drastic change on the scale even with aggressive liposuction.
Should I Loose Weight Before Lipo?
Forcibly losing weight is a bad thing as most will regain the weight that is lost with dieting. If you regain weight after your liposuction you will lose your results. In general, it is best to be at stable body weight. For patients undergoing fat grafting surgery with lipo, weight gain may be needed to add fat to your frame for fat grafting during surgery.

Does Liposuction Permanently Remove Fat?
Is liposuction permanent? The answer is simple. No. Liposuction removes fat and the cells attached to that fat. There are millions of remaining cells to become enlarged once fat reaccumulates. Will the fat come back after liposuction? If you gain weight it always does but it will not target the area it was removed from.

What If I Gain Weight After Liposuction?
As mentioned, gaining weight after liposuction means you will lose the results. Patients are asked to keep a stable weight for the first 6 weeks and then it is ok to slowly lose weight.
